Mateusz Krzyżowski
Ambassador of Culture for the city of Tychy.In 2023, He graduated from the Chopin University of Music in Warsaw, where he studied with Prof. Joanna Ławrynowicz-Just.
His musical interpretations are highly valued for their natural and flexible expression, conveyed with great care to accurately reflect the composer's intentions.
The winner of multiple competition awards: 1sr prize in the I. J. Paderewski International Piano Competition in Bydgoszcz, Poland (2022); 1st prize in the XII "Arthur Rubinstein in memoriam" International Competition for Young Pianists in Bydgoszcz, Poland (2021); 1st prize at the Fryderyk Chopin National Piano Competition (2018). In 2021, he represented Poland in the semi-finals of the XVIII International Fryderyk Chopin Piano Competition in Warsaw.
The artist regularly performs in the most prestigious concert halls in Poland (including the National Philharmonic Hall, the NOSPR Concert Hall in Katowice, the Silesian Philharmonic Hall, the Cracow Philharmonic Hall, the Lodz Philharmonic Hall or the Swietokrzyska Philharmonic Hall) and abroad, among others in the United States of America, Japan, France, Germany, Slovakia, Hungary, Lithuania, Ukraine and the United Arab Emirates.
He has performed with conductors such as Kai Bumann, Marek Moś, Michal Klauza, Wojciech Rodek, Miroslaw Jacek Blaszczyk, Alexander Humali, Marek Wroniszewski, Jan Milosz Zarzycki, Jakub Chrenowicz and Jurek Dybala.
In recent years, the artist has released three chamber music albums: "Peine et Plaisir" (Requiem Records), "Interwar Retrospections" and "The Most Beautiful Songs" (Sarton Records).
Mateusz Krzyżowski has been awarded scholarships from several prestigious programs, including "Młoda Polska" by the Minister of Culture and National Heritage, the Jerzy Semkow Foundation, the Marshal of the Silesian Voivodeship, the National Fund for Children, and the "Tychy – Good Place" Foundation. He was also the recipient of the Magna cum Laude Medal for the best graduate of the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music in 2024.
