Soloist

Marcin Zdunik


He has performed in many famous concert halls, including Carnegie Hall in New York, Cadogan Hall in London and Rudolfinum in Prague, alongside such renowned ensembles as the National Philharmonic Symphony Orchestra in Warsaw, the European Union Chamber Orchestra, City of London Sinfonia and Sinfonia Varsovia. Marcin Zdunik is undoubtedly one of the most talented cellists of the young generation. He is a laureate of numerous awards at international music competitions and festivals. In 2007, he won the 1st prize at the 6th International Witold Lutosławski Cello Competition in Warsaw. A year later, he received the title of the New Talent 2008 at the International Forum of Young Performers organised by the European Broadcasting Union.

Regularly invited to participate in prestigious music festivals, such as the BBC Proms in London, Progetto Martha Argerich in Lugano and Chopin or His Europe in Warsaw, the young virtuoso performs both early and contemporary music. He already has 16 albums and can boast of collaborating with musicians such as Andrzej Boreyko, Antoni Wit, Andres Mustonen, Nelson Goener, Gerard Causse, Krzysztof Jabłoński, Krzysztof Jakowicz and Yuri Bashmet.
