ILYO to Perform at NOSPR Concert Hall
It is time to reveal the secret. The International Lutosławski Youth Orchestra is set to debut on yet another highly prestigious European stage. This time, the orchestra will appear in the impressive concert hall of one of the finest orchestras not only in Poland but across Europe – the grand concert hall of the Polish National Radio Symphony Orchestra (NOSPR) in Katowice. The performance will take place on September 6.
NOSPR is not only an outstanding orchestra but also a dynamically growing cultural institution. Its monumental red-brick building houses a concert hall with a capacity of 1,800 seats. The venue is home to the Polish National Radio Symphony Orchestra, an ensemble whose history dates back to 1935. Over the decades, the orchestra has steadily built an international reputation, performing in the world’s most renowned concert halls and collaborating with leading artists of our time, including Leonard Bernstein, Martha Argerich, Plácido Domingo and Arthur Rubinstein.

Today, the orchestra’s rich musical heritage continues under the artistic direction of Marin Alsop herself, while the institution is led by its Director, Adam Balas.
