The ensemble is formed by acclaimed musicians – soloists and chamber players – actively engaged in artistic activities across many fields: violinist Anna Maria Staśkiewicz, cellist Marcel Markowski, and pianist Radosław Kurek. They were united by the desire to create together and a passion for chamber music. The trio made their debut in 2022 at the Three-Four Festival held at the W. Lutosławski Polish Radio Concert Studio in Warsaw. Their playing is characterized by a unique sound, charisma, and focus that touch the deepest emotional spheres of the audience.
The artists have participated in numerous musical events, performing both as soloists and chamber musicians across many countries in Europe, Asia, and both Americas, as well as in numerous cities in Poland. They have performed in venues such as Malmö Live Konserthus, Gamle Logen Concert Hall in Oslo, Auditorium al Duomo in Florence, Municipal Theatre in São Paulo, Kaisersaal in Frankfurt am Main, the National Philharmonic in Warsaw, the W. Lutosławski Polish Radio Concert Studio, the Grand Theatre – National Opera, the headquarters of the Polish Radio National Symphony Orchestra in Katowice, and most philharmonic halls in Poland.
Their many musical encounters have resulted in recordings for labels such as GENUINE Classics, Bayerischer Rundfunk, ANAGRAM, the Fryderyk Chopin National Institute, and Sarton. The members are graduates of the International Menuhin Music Academy in Coppet, the Ignacy Jan Paderewski Academy of Music in Poznań, the Karol and Grażyna Bacewicz Academy of Music in Łódź, and the Stanisław Moniuszko Academy of Music in Gdańsk. They have been associated for many years with Sinfonia Varsovia Orchestra, the Grand Theatre – National Opera, and the Feliks Nowowiejski Academy of Music in Bydgoszcz.
Trio Verto shares their sensitivity with audiences by performing the greatest masterpieces of the world’s chamber music repertoire in carefully crafted recitals, but also presenting lesser-known works that never leave listeners indifferent.
