Countdown to the Start of International Lutosławski Youth Orchestra 2025
The countdown is on for the launch of the 2025 edition of the International Lutosławski Youth Orchestra. On Monday, 18 August, 80 exceptionally gifted young classical musicians from 19 countries across 4 continents will arrive at the Szczecin Philharmonic.
These extraordinarily talented musicians will take part in an intensive orchestral workshop, gaining invaluable experience in the craft of orchestral performance. For the first two days, they will work under the guidance of seasoned musicians from renowned European ensembles. They will then move on to rehearsals led by Przemysław Neumann, chief conductor of the Szczecin Philharmonic Orchestra. On Wednesday, acclaimed pianist Aleksandra Świgut will join the International Lutosławski Youth Orchestra as the soloist for the project’s two final concerts.

The days ahead will be filled with long hours in rehearsal rooms and on the stage of the Philharmonic’s golden hall, polishing every detail to perfection. All of this in preparation for unforgettable performances for audiences in both Szczecin and Leipzig.

Reminder: Tickets for both ILYO 2025 concerts are on sale now. We look forward to seeing you there!
