Vanessa Szigeti - violins
Tonhalle-Orchester Zürich

Vanessa Szigeti was born into a family with a long musical tradition. She began studying violin at the age of five with her father, Florin Szigeti, co-founder of the Enesco Quartet. She then studied under Constantin Bogdanas and Larissa Kolos at the Regional Conservatory (CNR) in Paris. She then continued her studies with Olivier Charlier at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique de Paris, where she graduated in 2007. She continued her education at the Cycle Perfectionnement (postgraduate studies) of the CNSM in Paris under the guidance of Jean-Jacques Kantorov and then Svetlin Roussev. After moving to Vienna, she graduated with a Master's degree from the class of Pavel Vernikov at the Konservatorium Wien Privatuniversität.
Vanessa Szigeti won her first competitions at the age of nine, claiming the first prize at the Concours de Lutèce in Paris. She has won numerous competitions, including: 1st prize at the Concours Vatelot-Rampal – Paris (2005), 1st prize at the French Music Competition at the ISA – Austria (2007), 1st prize at the Concours Flame – Paris (2008), 1st prize at the String Soloists Competition at the ISA – Austria (2008), Prix de la Ville de Ciboure at the Maurice Ravel Academy (2008).

In parallel with her studies, Vanessa participated in master classes with outstanding musicians and teachers such as Ana Chumachenco, Mauricio Fuks, Ida Haendel, Boris Kuschnir, as well as Vladimir Mendelssohn and Hatto Beyerle in the field of chamber music. She was supported in these projects by the Fondation Meyer, and also received scholarships from the Adami and Génération Spedidam programs.

Thanks to the support of the Fondation Meyer, in 2009 she recorded her first CD, dedicated to French music and her teachers, Olivier Charlie and Jean-Jacques Kantorow.

As a passionate chamber musician, Vanessa has performed in various formations with musicians such as Amaury Coeytaux, Franz Helmerson, Yves Henry, Michel Lethiec, Vladimir Mendelssohn, Jeremy Menuhin, Jérôme Pernoo, Svetlin Roussev, Hagai Shaham and many others. She has performed in halls such as Salle Gaveau, Salle Cortot, Théâtre des Bouffes du Nord, Cité de la Musique, Musikverein in Vienna, Wigmore Hall in London, Auditorio Nacional in Madrid, Schloss Elmau, Palazetto Bru Zane in Venice, Megaron Mousikis in Athens, as well as at such festivals as Saison Musicale de l'Epau, Festival Berlioz, Festival Pablo Casals in Prades, Kuhmo Chamber Music Festival, Musica in Strasbourg, Organa, les Ravéliades, Schloss Weinzierl Musikfest, La Biennale de Venice and many more.

Vanessa has also been involved in the creation and popularization of contemporary music, collaborating with composers such as Pierre Boulez, Oscar Bianchi, Sofia Gubaidulina, Alexandre Fontaines, Thomas Larcher, Alberto Posadas, Miroslav Srnka.

As a musician, she is also very active in transmitting artistic knowledge, taking part in numerous pedagogical projects, initially at the Orchestre de Chambre des Jeunes de Paris, and then throughout Europe and abroad, giving master classes in violin and chamber music.

Vanessa Szigeti is currently the leader of the second violin section at the Tonhalle-Orchester Zürich.

Federico Bresciani - violas
WDR Funkhausorchester Köln (Cologne)

Federico Bresciani, born in Cagliari, Italy, is a renowned violist and violinist, appreciated for his virtuoso playing, diverse orchestral experience and concert performances. He began his musical career at the G.P. da Palestrina Conservatory in Cagliari, where he graduated as a violinist in 2007. He perfected his skills on both violin and viola, and continued his education at the Konservatorium Wien Privatuniversität under the supervision of distinguished professors such as Florian Zwiauer and Geltrude Weinmeister.
Over the years, Federico has held important positions in various orchestras. From 2012 to 2018, he was deputy leader of the viola group (stellvertretender Solo-Bratscher) in the Frankfurter Opern- und Museumsorchester, taking part in prestigious opera and concert productions. In 2017 he joined the Dresdner Festspielorchester as violist, collaborating with distinguished conductors and contributing to historically informed performances, including a recording of Wagner's Der Ring des Nibelungen with Concerto Köln and Kent Nagano. Since 2018 he has been principal violist (Solo-Bratscher) at the WDR Funkhausorchester in Cologne, where he not only leads the viola section but also hosts concerts of the WDR@Philharmonie series, an initiative aimed at children and young people to bring classical music closer to them.

Federico’s extensive orchestral experience includes collaborations with such esteemed ensembles as the Concentus Musicus Wien under Nikolaus Harnoncourt, the Deutsche Kammerphilharmonie Bremen, the Gewandhausorchester Leipzig, the Orchestra Sinfonica Toscanini under Lorin Maazel, the Orchestra del Maggio Musicale Fiorentino and the Deutsche Oper Berlin. He has performed under the baton of world-renowned conductors including Kent Nagano, Lorin Maazel, Nikolaus Harnoncourt, Herbert Blomstedt, Sir Colin Davis, Sir Antonio Pappano, Paavo Järvi, Krzysztof Penderecki, Daniele Gatti, Zubin Mehta and Andris Nelsons.

In addition to his career of orchestra musician, Federico has performed as a soloist with various ensembles, culminating in a unique concert in 2022 in Manama, Bahrain, where he played as a solo violinist in Vivaldi's The Four Seasons for the royal family and international ambassadors. He is now continuously involved in the popularization of music through his performances and educational initiatives, sharing the richness of the classical repertoire with audiences around the world.

Yesong Lee - cellos
Szczecin Philharmonic Symphony Orchestra

Yesong Lee was born in 1995 in Gwacheon, South Korea. She began playing the cello at the age of 5 and received professional music training at the Seoul Arts Center Academy and the Korea National University of Arts Pre-College. After completing these institutions, she earned a Bachelor's degree in Cello from Yonsei University in Seoul. She then continued her studies in Germany at the Hochschule für Musik Lübeck, where she completed a Master's degree with distinction under the guidance of Prof. Ulf Tischbirek.
Yesong Lee has been actively involved in various solo performances, including the complete performance of Bach's Cello Suite No. 2 at the Katharinenkirche in Lübeck. Through concerts in several German cities such as Lübeck, Plön, Kiel, Eutin, and Bad Kleinen, she continues to demonstrate her artistry as a soloist.

In addition to her solo career, she has also been actively engaged in chamber music, participating in various festivals. In 2023, she performed the Reger String Sextet at the Lübeck Brahms Festival, concluding the festival's final concert. She was also a member of the orchestra academy at Lübeck Theater and Volks Theater Rostock, where she participated in opera and symphonic performances.

Since April 2024, Yesong Lee has been serving as Co Concertmaster at the Szczecin Philharmonic, while continuing her Konzert Examen studies at the Hochschule für Musik Lübeck under Prof. Ulf Tischbirek.

Ruslan Lutsyk - double basses
Philharmonia Zürich

Ruslan Lutsyk was born in historical Lviv, one of the main cultural centers of Ukraine. His devotion to music began at an early age. As a young child, he sang in a choir and took cello and piano lessons. Shortly thereafter, began his life-long love affair with the bass. Ruslan’s formal study of music commenced at the S.Kruchelnytzka Specialized Music Boarding School in Lviv. Attending the Mykola Lysenko Lviv State Academy of Music, he graduated cum laude in 1998. His postgraduate studies were completed with honors at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Munich under the tutelage of the professor Klaus Trumpf.
Following graduation, Ruslan taught graduate students as Professor Trumpf’s teaching assistant. An active teacher, performer and competitor, he began working with the Philharmonia Zurich (former The Zurich Opera Orchestra) in 2002 and was engaged as Assistant Principal Double-Bass in 2004.

In 2008 Ruslan was appointed as a Professor of Double-Bass at the Bern University of Arts. As a soloist, Mr.Lutsyk has performed with orchestras in Germany, the Ukraine and Switzerland. He is grateful to have shared the stage with many luminaries of the musical world, such as Nikolaus Harnoncourt, Zubin Mehta, Bernard Haitink, Riccardo Chailly, Teodor Currentzis, Christoph von Dohnányi, John Eliot Gardiner, Nello Santi, Daniele Gatti, Franz Welser-Möst, Cecilia Bartoli, Leo Nucci et al. Ruslan regularly giving masterclasses in Switzerland, Poland, Slovakia and the USA.

In 2013, he founded the “Golden Bass International Double-Bass Competition,” the first International Bass competition ever held in Ukraine. This contest has received significant international attention.

Arkadiusz Adamski – woodwind section
Polish National Radio Symphony Orchestra in Katowice – NOSPR

For nearly three decades, he has been a clarinettist – soloist of one of the best orchestras in Poland – the Polish National Radio Symphony Orchestra in Katowice (NOSPR), and also a sought-after lecturer at clarinet courses both in Poland and abroad. He has conducted master classes in the Czech Republic, Spain, Portugal and Belgium.
Arkadiusz Adamski has also been a professor of clarinet at the Karol Szymanowski Academy of Music in Katowice since 2001. As a teacher and soloist, he participated, among others, in the international festival ClarinetFest in Vancouver (2007) and Porto (2009). In addition, he is a board member of the European Clarinettist Association; he was also the artistic director of the 4th European Clarinet Congress in Katowice.

In his career, he has performed with great orchestras: Sinfonietta Cracovia Orchestra, Silesian Quartet, Polish Chamber Philharmonic, Warsaw Chamber Opera Orchestra, Belarusian National Symphony Orchestra, The Hilliard Ensemble, NOSPR. He is also a member of The New Art Ensemble.

He is known for his numerous recordings, for example, for the BBC. His albums have been honoured with prestigious awards. The album recorded for the DUX label with works by Krzysztof Penderecki won the Pizzicato Excellentia and Supersonic Award in 2011. The album was recorded with the Clarinet Quartet and the accompaniment of the members of the Dafô string quartet. It was also nominated for the International Classical Music Award 2012 in the category "Chamber Music". His album featuring Sinfonietta No. 2, recorded together with the Sinfonia Iuventus Orchestra, was nominated for the International Classical Music Award 2017 in the "Contemporary Music" category.

Arkadiusz Adamski is a graduate of the Karol Szymanowski Academy of Music in Katowice, in the clarinet class of Andrzej Janicki, and a laureate of national and international competitions in Paris and Prague, to name a few.

Jakub Waszczeniuk - brass section
Sinfonia Varsovia

He graduated with distinction from the trumpet class of Prof. Igor Cecocho at the Academy of Music in Wrocław (Poland). In 2005, as a fourth-year student, he began working in the Sinfonia Varsovia Orchestra, and since then he holds the position of first solo trumpet player. Jakub has given several hundred concerts with Sinfonia Varsovia, performing in the most prestigious concert halls in the world.
He has also performed as a soloist with leading Polish ensembles such as Sinfonia Varsovia, the Poznań Philharmonic Orchestra, the Łódź Philharmonic Orchestra, and the Lower Silesia Philharmonic Orchestra – to name only a few. In July 2006, he performed as a soloist at the inaugural concert of Chopin and his Europe Festival at the Warsaw Philharmonic. Together with Martha Argerich and the Sinfonia Varsovia Orchestra conducted by Alexander Rabinowich-Barakowsky, he performed Shostakovich's Concerto No. 2 for Piano, Trumpet and String Orchestra, Op. 35.

Jakub regularly collaborates with orchestras such as: Sinfonietta Cracovia, Leopoldinum, Poznań Philharmonic Orchestra, Łódź Philharmonic Orchestra, Beethoven Academy Orchestra. In addition to classical music, Jakub also enjoys performing pop music. He collaborates with the pop orchestras of Zygmunt Kukla and Tomek Szymusi and the big band of Krzysztof Herdzin as lead trumpet. He has shared the stage with leading Polish jazz and pop stars, such as: Zbigniew Namysłowski, Ania Szarmach, Frank McComb, Ryszard Rynkowski, Adam Sztaba, Grażyna Łobaszewska anc Lora Szafran.

Aleksandra Gołaj - percussion
NFM Wrocław Philharmonic

Wrocław resident, percussionist, musician. Graduate of the Karol Lipiński Academy of Music in Wrocław. She also studied at the L. Janacek Academy of Music in Brno. Winner of many competitions, including 1st prize at the VI Giornate Della Percussione vibraphone competition in Fermo. Scholarship holder of the Minister of Culture and National Heritage and the Mayor of Wrocław. Permanently associated with the NFM Wrocław Philharmonic percussion section.
Member of the Ensemble Kompopolex – a trio specializing in contemporary music. As a chamber musician, Aleksandra regularly performs at festivals of contemporary music. In recent years, these have included: Musica Polonica Nova (2018, 2024), Musica Electronica Nova (2017, 2023), ISCM World Music Days 2014, Muzyka na Szczytach (2015), Warsaw Autumn (2019, 2020, 2023), Sacrum Profanum (2020,2021), Musica Moderna (2024), Musica Privata (2021), Unerhoerte Musik/Berlin (2021), Mixtur/Barcelona (2023), Klang/Copenhagen (2024), Heroines of Sound/Berlin (2024). Aleksandra regularly performs premieres of both Polish and foreign composers. She collaborates with the Wrocław branch of the Polish Composers' Union. In the years 2015-2018 she was a lecturer in the percussion class at the Academy of Music in Wrocław.

Juliusz Wesołowski - harp
Szczecin Philharmonic Symphony Orchestra

He graduated with distinction the G. and K. Bacewicz Academy of Music in Łódź in the class of Beata Tarnowicz-Kamińska. Winner of harp competitions in Stockholm, Prague, Atlanta, Kharkiv and laureate of competitions in Hong Kong, St. Petersburg, Norrköping, as well as chamber competitions in Cieszyn – Grand Prix, Stockholm, Salzburg, Berlin, Bydgoszcz. Winner of the Scholarship of the Minister of Culture and National Heritage of the Republic of Poland for outstanding artistic achievements, as well as the Young Poland award for 2018.
Julisz is associated with the symphony orchestras of Koszalin Philharmonic (since 2018) and the Szczecin Philharmonic (since 2024) as a solo harpist. His repertoire includes a wide range of compositions from baroque music to contemporary music. As a soloist and orchestral musician, he collaborates with many symphony orchestras in Poland (Łódź Philharmonic, Opole Philharmonic, Sudecka Philharmonic, Polish Baltic Philharmonic in Gdańsk, Polish Sinfonia Baltica Philharmonic in Słupsk, Polish Chamber Philharmonic in Sopot, Lublin Philharmonic, Kalisz Philharmonic, Płock Symphony Orchestra, Świętokrzyska Philharmonic, Szczecin Philharmonic). Julisz was also involved in recordings for Polish Radio and Television. As soloist he performed numerous concerts and recitals in, among others: Kharkiv, Warsaw, Poznań, Kraków, Katowice, Łódź, Opole, Kalisz, Koszalin, Wrocław, Szczecin, Gdańsk, Gdynia.
