Artur Kasperek - woodwind section - Orchestra of Polish National Opera
He studied at the Fryderyk Chopin Academy of Music in Warsaw in the class of prof. Bogumił Gadawski, but he also perfected his skills with prof. Klaus Thunemann. Artur is a laureate of many solo and chamber competitions, including 3rd prize at the chamber competition in Potsdam in 1998. Co-founder and first bassoonist of the Varsovia Bassoon Quartet and a long-time member of the Varsovia Nova Quintet and the Gruppo di Tempera sextet, he performed dozens of concerts at festivals throughout Europe and Asia.
Artur has collaborated with leading orchestras for many years. He was, among others, a soloist of the Polish Chamber Philharmonic (1989-1994), a soloist of the National Opera (since 1992), a soloist of the Polish Radio Orchestra (1994-2017), and the first bassoonist of Sinfonia Helvetica (1998-1999). In 1999 he became principal bassoonist of Krystian Zimerman's Polish Festival Orchestra, with which he made a recording of both of Fryderyk Chopin's Piano Concertos for Deutsche Grammophon, the album won many prestigious awards.

Permanent member of the Orchestra of the Polish National Opera in Warsaw, but her regularily performs with other nesembles and orchestras: Concerto Avenna, Polish Chamber Philharmonic, Varsovia Nova, Ensemble de Narol, Sinfonia Varsovia, New Art Ensamble, Amadeus Ensamble, Gruppo di Tempera, Sinfonietta Cracovia. Artur has also given dozens of solo performances in Poland and abroad (Germany, Switzerland, France, Russia, Belarus and many others) with such orchestras as: the Belarusian National Philharmonic, Sinfonietta Cracovia, the Polish Radio Orchestra, Concerto Avenna, the Polish Chamber Philharmonic, Capella Bydgostiensis, the Silesian Chamber Orchestra, the Podlasie Philharmonic and Opera, the Subcarpathian Philharmonic, the Lublin Philharmonic, the Orpheus Chamber Orchestra, with which he performed concertos by Mozart, Weber, Hummel, Vivaldi, Richard Strauss, Panufnik, Villa-Lobos, Francaix, and Hindemith.
