We are pleased to announce the results of the online auditions for the 14th edition of the International Lutosławski Youth Orchestra.

This year’s recruitment process was the largest in the project’s history, with a record-breaking 551 applications submitted. Such extraordinary interest made the selection process particularly challenging for the tutors of ILYO 2026. The artistic level of the submitted recordings was exceptionally high, with nearly 7 candidates competing for each place in the orchestra on average.

We warmly congratulate everyone who has been selected to join ILYO 2026. To those whose names do not appear on the lists below, we would like to thank you for taking part in the auditions and warmly encourage you to apply again next year.

The International Lutosławski Youth Orchestra returns to the stage with two symphonic concerts. The first will take place on 4 September at 7:00 PM in the Golden Hall of the Szczecin Philharmonic, followed by a second performance on 6 September at 6:00 PM at the concert hall of the Polish Radio National Symphony Orchestra (NOSPR) in Katowice. Tickets for both events are now available.

It is time to reveal the secret. The International Lutosławski Youth Orchestra is set to debut on yet another highly prestigious European stage. This time, the orchestra will appear in the impressive concert hall of one of the finest orchestras not only in Poland but across Europe – the grand concert hall of the Polish National Radio Symphony Orchestra (NOSPR) in Katowice. The performance will take place on September 6.

Since 2013, the International Lutosławski Youth Orchestra connects young classical musicians from Poland, Europe and far beyond. Our mission is to make them enjoy the beauty of timeless classical music by performing it together as an orchestra. Yet, under the roof of the majestic building of the Szczecin Philharmonic in North-West Poland, we not only play together, but forge friendships, share thoughts, insights and learn from experienced orchestra musicians. We also travel outside of Szczecin to share our passion for symphonic music with the world.
